More Easter

The problem with slacking on blog posts is that I forget what we've done and what pictures I have!  I was so late doing an Easter blog that I completely forgot about the pictures my Mom sent me from the weekend as well as the ones I have on my phone.  So, here's a bunch more, mostly from our fun outing to the berry patch.

Drew and Me-Ma show off their "clawberry."
That was one freaky looking strawberry.

CC's favorite strawberry.

CC helps David get a good one.

David taking a break

Drew and Me-Ma still going strong.

Golf cart ride.

Drew digging into an Easter basket.  I think I
mentioned in the last post that the boys got multiple
baskets, this one is from CC and Day Day.

David gets into his too.

My handsome big boy.

Easter

Here's our happy little family on Easter.  We went to Myrtle Beach to visit Me-Ma, CC and Day Day and had a wonderful and relaxing time.  The boys were spoiled as usual but George and I were spoiled too - we had a date night!  We went shopping and then out to eat to celebrate our 9 year anniversary.  The weekend was filled with lots of Easter fun, including egg-dying, lots of egg hunts and Easter baskets from everyone!  We got lots of fresh air over the weekend with a trip to the beach, golf for the guys and tons of playing outside.  Golf cart rides are a favorite for everyone.  Drew has become quite the little driver!

Delicious Easter spread at CC and Day Day's.

It was a beautiful day at the beach but it was a tad chilly.

 Egg hunt at Me-Ma's!
 Excited about his Easter basket!
David finds his basket and lugs it back.

Best Friend Visit

My best friend Angel came to visit at the end of March. She's so sweet about flying here to see us. We've seen each other every year since our move to North Carolina (sometimes twice a year!) and much of that is due to Angel. She really is an amazing friend and we always pick up right where we left off when we see each other! This trip was no exception. It was a quick but great two days! We spent Friday shopping and going out to lunch, talking non-stop of course. On Saturday we spent most of the day with the fam but then went to the movies in the afternoon. Thank you so much for visiting Angel! Can't wait to come to you in July!!! XOXO

Sweet Angel always brings gifts for the boys. Drew loves his Star Wars encyclopedia. He looks forward to picking out four characters each night to read about. The best treat was a pack of mustaches. We got some laughs with those!
Hee hee.

Drew got all dressed up to look like the guy on the mustache box.

Angel was such a trooper playing with the boys. She flew down the hill (screaming!!!) on this plasma car.

We went to see The Hunger Games and had a ball. Speaking of hunger, we couldn't believe how big the popcorn and drinks were. I swear the tub was bigger than the last time I went to the movies. We also had our chocolate goodies from Target stashed in our purses.

George's Spiderman Birthday

George turned 37 today! What better way to celebrate than with a Spiderman birthday party?!?! When I asked the boys a couple of weeks ago what we should do for Daddy's birthday, Drew was so excited to offer up a theme. "Mom! I've got it! Let's have a Spiderman birthday party! Daddy would LOVE that!!!" Who could say no? So, a Spiderman party it was. We wrapped his presents in a Spiderman bag, decorated a bit, and Spiderman himself even made an appearance. George was so sweet when he saw it all! I think he really did like it. Though I wonder if he'll do Cabbage Patch Kids or My Little Pony as payback. Judy came to visit this weekend and we also invited the Watson's and Campbell's to join us. Pizza and an ice cream cake completed the day! It really is starting to sound more like a 7th birthday party but I promise George requested pizza from his favorite place and a pistachio-flavored ice cream cake from Goodberry's. We added cupcakes in case the kids preferred those.

Happy birthday George! Hope you enjoyed the day as much as the boys enjoyed planning and preparing for it! Love you!!!

David finally got his turn as Spiderman.

Drew made some awesome decs!

I love that the Campbell's went with the theme! Notice the "37" taped over the card!

Bailey always gets in on the action when it's time to unwrap gifts. George got a new pizza stone for the grill from the Watson's!

Take 2 for David to help.

Busy Week!

The last week has been soooo busy! We had lots of fun but man are we tired! I had something four nights in a row. The week started with The Bachelor finale watch party at my house on Monday night followed by book club on Tuesday night. On Wednesday I went to Cristie's to watch Whitley while Cristie and Tom had a work thing and then Thursday night was bunco. Hate to complain since it was all fun stuff but I was exhausted on Friday. It was a gorgeous weekend and we took full advantage by playing outside a lot. Mom and Dad were here too which made it extra fun! Drew had his first spring soccer game. Let's hope he and his team improve or we're in for a rough season! Then on Sunday George and I ran the Tobacco Road 1/2 marathon. It was a little warm and humid but overall it was great! I signed up for my first full marathon so the long runs will have to continue! I'm excited and nervous but Richmond 2012 here I come! It's not till November thank goodness :) George and I took the boys to see The Lorax on Sunday afternoon. It was a good movie and such a fun family outing! During the movie I looked over at my cute little family and was so thankful.

Lunch at Jason's Deli! My personal favorite and thankfully the boys like it too.
David was super popular the other day while playing outside with six girls from the neighborhood. They were all doting on him, waiting in line to get him at the bottom of the slide or help him up the ladder. He even followed the girls inside my neighbors house to watch a movie. It was hysterical. I followed them too but after it was clear that I wasn't needed (or wanted), I went home and got some housework done. The girls brought him home a little while later, all of them trying to hold him on their hips (hee hee), and asked if he could play outside a bit more. Sure!

After being caught by the girls, he turned around to catch one of them coming down. Sweetie!

Batman and Robin helped me make chocolate covered strawberries for my Bachelor party. My neighborhood pals and I had such a fun time watching the finale. George helped me decorate with rose petals and tons of candles. It was a hit! We watch a little bit of the show but it's mostly an excuse to get together on a Monday night for wine and conversation.

Day Day bought this Batcave for the boys and it has been an endless hit!

Whitley is really into Rapunzel and she and the boys played it while we were there. Drew was Flynn Rider and David was the lizard. A little tip... Rapunzel the movie is actually titled Tangled. I didn't realize that while the kids were all repeating that they wanted to watch Rapunzel and Whitley was saying "I have it Aunt Stacy" while holding Tangled and I said, "No, that says Tangled." I felt so stupid because it actually took me a couple of minutes to figure out we were all talking about the same movie. And when I thought about it later, I did know that the was the name of the movie because my sister took Drew and Whitley to see it. Pathetic of me!

Tobacco Road 1/2 marathon.

Settled in for Drew's soccer game.

Action shot!
