I hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We spent the holiday at my Aunt Mary's house along with Judy and the Watson's. We enjoyed tons of delicious food including the usual favorites and some new dishes (New to me at least! Note to self: Get the sweet potato casserole baked in orange shells recipe. Yum yum!) Everything was fantastic and Aunt Mary and her family were fabulous hosts. My sweet cousin Melanie organized some Thanksgiving games for us including a word scramble, trivia game and crossword puzzle. Big shock that Cristie and her sister-in-law Terri won the games :) Drew had a blast playing with Uncle Ralph, Melanie and Stephen and was thrilled to wear Stephen's baseball cap and glove! Drew and Whitley were so precious and sweet throughout the festivities! We are so thankful for them and the joy they have brought to our families!

Blog Slacker!
I have really been slacking on my posts! It has been such a busy week and although I've tried to start a new post many times, I never made much progress. Plus, I was disappointed that I didn't have better pictures considering we've done lots of fun stuff. Oh well.
Last Sunday I hosted a baby shower for a friend that adopted a baby girl. I had so much fun preparing for it and the shower turned out very nice. It was so special to have little Lelia at the celebration and she was a doll going from one set of arms to another, I'm not even sure if she opened her eyes the whole time! Monday morning we went to our weekly playgroup and Drew had a wonderful time as always. They have a train table and Drew stood at that for most of the two hours we were there and played with all of the cars, trucks and trains. He just can't get enough! On Thursday I had the treat of watching Whitley while my sister was at a training in Cary. Her and Drew were perfect angels and other than figuring out how to get them both up and down the stairs at the same time it was a super easy day! Then Cristie came over after her class and went to Bunco with me. We had a good time and I even walked away with a prize which was a first for me! Friday evening we had pizza with some friends and then our friend Chad from Pittsburgh spent the night. George and Chad took Drew upstairs to play and when I went up there a few minutes later I saw the three of them lounging on the sectional watching Anchorman. Although I know it is an inappropriate movie for kids I thought it was hysterical because Drew looked so engrossed in it. I talked myself into believing that Drew is too young to be effected by it so brushed it off. Chad is so sweet to Drew and they had a blast playing together. Drew was so excited about Chad being there that he protested going to bed and then woke up at 5:30 Saturday morning ready to continue the fun! Luckily he fell back asleep but we got up around 7:30 to start getting ready for the Raleigh Christmas parade. Drew and I met my Aunt Mary and cousin Melanie there and then went to see Melanie's swanky new downtown condo and had lunch a cool place. It was a great day despite the frigid temperatures! Drew's favorite part of the parade was a huge monster truck rented by a local radio station. Drew was amazed and repeated "Mama, big truck!!!!" over and over. The fun continued for Drew Saturday evening when a babysitter arrived and George and I went out to eat. Drew ignored me from the minute she walked in the door. She said Drew was great and told me he was cute at least five times. Of course I love to hear that but then I wondered if she really thinks he's cute or if she just adds that in hopes of a bigger payday. Hmmm.
Kissing Lelia after the baby shower. Drew loves babies and always insists on a kiss! He's such a sweetie.

Cars Chair
Drew is so in love with his new Cars chair! I'm not sure what we ever did without it! Here's a few photos of him sitting on his chair... They are the only photos I took this week since he rarely left the chair.

More fun with CC and Day Day!
The rest of our visit with my parents was fantastic! They stayed with me on Wednesday night and we had a relaxing day playing with Drew and Whitley (she spent the night!) on Thursday. Then they headed to Cristie's to spend Thursday night. Drew and I went over there Friday morning and had another fun day playing with the kids and then hit Walmart for some toys. Drew got a Cars chair and Whitley got a Dora the Explorer one, Drew got a helmet (Cars of course!) and they both got a couple of other things. Day Day and Drew had a big time at Walmart playing with every single ball in one of the tall ball displays. Drew kept pulling them out and Day Day let him. Walmart even sent three associates over to ask if we needed help. Guess they thought were were just going to play in the store all day and never buy anything. It was pretty funny! Day Day was exhausted and asked how I keep up with Drew all day and take him places. I responded that I don't let Drew pull out all of the balls or do the other wild things he wants to do. Guess that's what makes grandparents so cool! George and I went to East Carolina's homecoming on Saturday while my parents took Drew to Virginia to visit family. They all had a great time and my parents said Drew was absolutely perfect! George and I had a fun time at the game and enjoyed watching the Pirates win in overtime. Drew stayed the night at Cristie's with my parents on Saturday night so I went over there Sunday to get him and spend some more time with Mom and Dad. Then I took them to the airport where we said our goodbyes :( At least Christmas is right around the corner! My parents told me again at the airport how much fun they had with Drew (without me!) on Saturday and how proud he makes them. That made me very proud! Poor Drew had a hard time adjusting to them leaving this trip. He kept going in the guest room and looking for them. He even called CC's name while looking behind the bathroom door and in the closet. Then he went to the bed and said "This is CC"s bed" with the most pitiful look on his face. So sad! He continued to ask for them and look for them until Wednesday. Then today I was reading my sister's blog (www.whitleygrace.blogspot.com) with Drew on my hip and he started screaming "CC!!!!" when he saw her picture. Oops! To distract him I pointed at lots of pictures and asked him to name everyone. He nailed Day Day, Cristie and Whitley (aka "baby"). The way he says Cristie is precious! Here's a few pictures from the weekend...
Sitting on the tractor after a fun ride! The trip to Virginia was a big hit! The Lindseys have tons of fun "toys" for Drew to enjoy!

A Roar of a Halloween!
We had a wonderful Halloween although it was much more work than I expected. Drew got a little wild when the Watson's arrived and putting him in his tiger costume and football jersey only fed the fire! Fortunately, he calmed down once we got going and was tickled pink (or purple and gold) to "roar" his way around the neighborhood. He looked so darn adorable! He didn't want to wear the tiger head which I expected so I painted his face a bit to make up for it. Whitley looked precious as ever and was a darling little cheerleader! She even shook her pompom while going door to door! Although I worked on "trick-or-treat" with Drew a few times, he only used "please!!!" when getting the goodies. He was very polite and took only one piece at each home. We decorated the wagon to keep up our LSU theme and it looked great! Cristie and I carried the kids quite a bit though since it was hard to maneuver the wagon on stairs. George stayed behind and passed out candy at home. At first I felt bad for him but after carrying Drew to 5 or 6 homes I realized that drinking a beer on the front porch checking out all the cute costumes would have been an easier gig! George and I did switch at the end and he took Drew to the last few homes. Our little tiger was so pooped that he climbed right in bed in his costume and didn't even flinch as I scrubbed the LSU tattoo off his face. And if I recall correctly from college, those are not pleasant to remove!
