Pool Time!

The remainder of our week was nice and pretty relaxed. Drew and I went to the pool on Friday and Saturday with some friends. He absolutely loves it just like last year! I'm really impressed with how well he does but I wish he had a little more fear of the water. When he gets too deep and goes under he just comes back up laughing. He also loves jumping in from the side of pool into my arms and wants to do it over and over and over again! We went to lunch with Preston and his Mom after the pool on Saturday, we had worked up quite an appetite! Then after much needed naps for Drew and I we went to the Watson's for dinner. George was out of town for a golf tournament all day so wasn't able to go with us. We had a great time catching up with them and Drew had a ball playing with Whitley's toys. It's been a few weeks since we were there and he had a list of things he wanted to play with! He didn't stop until he had cooked in her play kitchen, drove her pink car, pushed Whitley in the princess car, pushed baby dolls in the baby stroller, played with letters on the fridge and did a dozen or so puzzles. He was busy!

Back Home

We are back from Minnesota and miss CC and Day Day terribly! Drew was so sad on the airplane and asked if we were going to "CC's house" when we landed. The entire trip was wonderful, starting with an energetic "I'm coming!" from Drew to Day Day on the phone before departing and finishing with hugs and kisses at the airport. CC and Day Day are so sweet to Drew and truly think he's perfect, like only grandparents can! He was a good boy on the trip and even slept like a champ every night and during naps. The only good thing about returning was seeing sweet Bailey! Drew missed her a lot which kind of shocked us. I guess when he annoys her and pets her too hard he really is showing her how much he loves her! Bailey was still at my sister's when we got home but he looked all over the house for her and kept asking where she was. When he woke up this morning (at 9:45 I might add, guess he was exhausted from a fun week!) he immediately said "I need Bailey" and was thrilled to reunite with her. Here's a couple of pictures from Memorial Day, our last day in MN... We went to a Twins vs Red Sox baseball game and Drew got an adorable hat and baseball bat! Then we took his golf cart to the park one last time that evening. He is already asking where his golf cart is, that didn't take long! Sweet Day Day promises to ship it. Then Drew will have three automobiles! We're going to have to get a bigger garage!
Drew loved looking through the binoculars at the game, it was so darn cute!
Day Day and Drew share some popcorn at the baseball game.
Last trip to the park. "Higher CC, higher!"

Drew's Golf Cart Video

Here's a video of Drew on his golf cart in Minnesota. We were coming back from the park. You can see George showing off his mad basketball skills :) George and I tried to play H-O-R-S-E at the park but were both so ridiculously bad that we switched it to P-I-G so the game wouldn't last forever. Drew was watching and after a couple of bad shots he said "That's terrible!" We laughed so hard! Kids are so honest. We decided to wrap up the game with only a "P" for each of us and headed back to CC and Day Day's. That's when they took this video of us. Drew misses his golf cart and even talked about it in his sleep last night. Guess he was dreaming of a nice long ride!

More Fun With CC & Day Day!

We had a wonderful weekend with CC and Day Day! Saturday night some friends came over and we enjoyed a delicious dinner and lots of laughs! Drew loved the company, especially Eli, an adorable 8 month old. Drew kept bringing Eli toys to play with and would crawl behind him on the floor. Everyone commented on what a great big brother Drew will be! Drew watched a movie while the adults played cards (I won!) and didn't go to bed till after 11. After sleeping late on Sunday we all went to Canterbury Park, a horse track. It was such a blast! We enjoyed betting on the races although I was a huge loser! Dad, Mom and George made fun of me and started asking what horse I bet on so they would know which one not to bet on. Drew loved watching the races and screamed "Go, go, faster, faster!" when they flew by. He even got to pet some horses and sit on a pony!

Drew speeds out of the garage and heads for the park!

Drew in his "ball house." This provided tons of fun for Drew and for his grandparents when he insisted they get in too :)

Day Day and Drew watch 101 Dalmatians on VHS! Mom and Dad also had The Rescuers Down Under which Drew loved as well.

CC & Day Day's House Continued!

The fun continues at CC and Day Day's! George arrived Thursday night and we all enjoyed a yummy late dinner after picking him up. We got home past Drew's bedtime and got a huge laugh when we pulled in CC and Day Day's garage and Drew said "I happy!!!" It was precious. He loves it here and was happy to get back inside to play with all of the fun toys. CC, George, Drew and I went to the Como Zoo on Friday. They had quite a few of Drew's favorite animals. I think the giraffes, lions and orangutans were the favorites! There was a baby orangutan that stole all of our hearts! We went to the park Friday evening, following Drew on his golf cart. We've only been here a few days but he has mastered driving it already. Day Day took Drew to see a movie on Saturday and I tagged along despite Drew insisting that I stay in the car :( He loves alone time with his grandparents!

Family photo at the Como Zoo.

Drew loved the giraffes and said they are from "Move it, move it," his name for the movie Madagascar. Cute!

Drew got scared and sat in Day Day's lap the rest of the movie. So sweet!

CC & Day Day's house!

We've only been with CC and Day Day a little over a day but we've already had tons of fun! Day Day got Drew his 3rd riding toy, a darling golf cart! Drew didn't waste anytime taking it for a spin, he even tried it out in the living room before taking it outside. CC had lots of new toys, puzzles and games for Drew so we spent most of Wednesday playing inside. After dinner we went to the park and then watched the finale of American Idol. Drew didn't go to bed until 10pm which was 11pm our time. He was being so sweet and went back and forth from CC to Day Day giving hugs and kisses. It's also hard to go to bed on time here because the sun doesn't go down until 9:30. Today has been a busy day with Drew riding his golf cart, playing baseball with a new set from Day Day and a visit to Valley Fair, a nearby amusement park. Drew is napping now and we're looking forward to a fun evening!
Drew gets his new golf cart and takes it for a spin around the living room! It's so darn cute!
CC and Drew at the park! CC is so fun and Drew likes to do everything with her. I got my feelings hurt when I tried to accompany them to the park and Drew said, "No Mama, you stay." CC go with me." Guess he didn't want me interfering with his one-on-one CC time! I ended up following a couple of minutes later and he didn't seem to notice.

Drew takes a ride at Valley Fair. He was so brave and rode most of the rides all by himself. He got the cutest look on his face and was so proud. CC and I were proud too!

One of his favorite rides! When it was over he got out of the truck and jumped in another one. Luckily it wasn't crowded so they let him just keep riding.

Drew and I ride the carousal.

Drew's Ready for Minnesota!

Drew and I spent the last couple of days getting ready for our much anticipated trip to see CC and Day in Minnesota! He has been sooooo excited and shared his joy with anyone that would listen. I've heard "I going on airplane to see CC and Day Day!" dozens of times. We can't wait to get there!
Drew played hide and seek while I was packing. I heard "Come find me!" and found him under the stool.

Drew and Preston play race track on the porch. Preston and his Mom came over to play and eat dinner with us Tuesday evening.
Ready to go to visit CC and Day Day! He climbed in the suitcase and said "I ready!" after his bath. I started talking about the trip a few days too early, poor guy thought we were going to the airport every time we left the house.

Wilmington Wedding

George and I went to Wilmington, NC over the weekend for a wedding and had a wonderful time. It was great to catch up with George's college friends and their wives. We spent some time walking around Wilmington, enjoyed a delicious seafood lunch on the river, and caught some rays at the hotel pool. It was very relaxing. The wedding was beautiful and the reception was tons of fun aboard a cruise boat. We went out after the wedding and then hit a pizza place on the way back to the hotel. Haven't done that in a long time and didn't plan on doing so 7 months pregnant. Luckily we knew almost everyone at the bar, otherwise I would have been embarrassed to line dance and drink Sharps (non-alcoholic beer) in front of strangers. Like George said, "My wife may be pregnant but she still likes to have a good time." Yep! It was rainy and cool on Sunday so we got up and came home. I missed Drew anyway so was thrilled to head back! He had a great weekend with his Grandma and stayed busy playing with new dinosaurs she bought him and going to a birthday party for one of his friends. Thanks Judy for watching Drew!
Getting ready to board the reception cruise.

After the wedding. George was so sunburned!

New Ride!

While Drew and I were in Las Vegas the end of March, George got us a new minivan!!! I've been meaning to post some pictures but just got around to taking some. I have wanted a minivan for awhile but it took some convincing to get George on board. After test driving a few, George finally agreed that they are super practical for Mom's with small kids. We decided on a Volkswagen Routan and absolutely love it! Drew can climb in all by himself which has been helpful during the pregnancy. It also has as many TV screens as our house which has been a huge help on a couple of mini road trips we've taken recently. I said I wasn't going to let Drew watch movies while we run quick errands and things like that and I've stuck to that promise. He knows it's only for long trips or for special occasions (like yesterday when my OB appointment lasted over two hours and he and George were bored stiff and went to the car to watch movies.) On that note, all is well with Baby Boy Davis! It was a long appointment because I had to do the 28 week glucose test in addition to an ultrasound and regular Doctor's visit. The time is flying by and August 9th is just around the corner. As of now, Baby Davis will be born a week or so early via c-section due to a low lying placenta. In that case, August 1st is really just around the corner! Here are some pictures of our new ride...
Drew rides his scooter in the driveway. He's getting quite good!

Me using the tailgate seats to watch Drew ride his scooter. George loved this feature and can't wait to watch Drew play soccer, t-ball or football. I said, "Why wait for that?" and use it in the garage.

Fixing Drew's boo boo in the van.

Drew loves that his movies play in the van!

Drew thinks the minivan is "So cool!" At least someone does :)

Fries With That?

Drew pretends our refrigerator ice and water dispenser is a drive thru window. He gets a stool from the laundry room, carries it to the fridge and then climbs up and leans his head into the dispenser. I swear we don't eat fast food very often and if we do we usually go inside to eat so I'm not sure where he got this idea! It's super cute though so I got it on video to share. He orders a cheeseburger, popcorn, pretzel, lemonade, another cheeseburger, hot dog, more popcorn, and then another popcorn, lemonade and pretzel. Hungry guy!

Talking to Baby Brother

I wanted to share a couple of pictures of Drew "talking" to his baby brother. Sometimes he sees my belly and just can't help but talk to the baby! He goes to my bathroom and gets a black headband that he thinks is a stethoscope and then pulls at my shirt to get to the belly. He immitates the sounds we hear at the Doctor's office and rubs my belly, it is unbelievably sweet! Then he kisses his baby brother. Baby boy Davis is going to be one loved little guy!
The other pictures are from a strawberry patch we went to on Friday evening. Drew was quite a pro! We only had to tell him once what to look for and then he was off to picking! He loved to carry the basket, even when it got heavy.

Sweet kiss for baby brother! Drew and George at Jean's Berry Patch.
