Thank You Me-Ma!

George's Mom left on Thursday so we're totally on our own now. We really enjoyed having her here and appreciate all that she did to help us! She and Drew played for hours every day and by the sound of things they had lots of fun! I heard lots of talk of dinosaurs and race cars, two of his favorite things. We enjoyed her help around the house and especially her yummy meals! We miss her and look forward to her next visit! We've been settling into a routine just the four of us the last few days. Yesterday I had the boys by myself all afternoon and evening while George went to his fantasy football draft. Not only did we survive but we actually had a great day! Drew was sweet as sugar the entire time and cooperated fully with everything I asked him to do, including leaving our neighbors' house when David had a diaper blowout. He usually hates leaving friends' houses so I was brainstorming ways to talk him into leaving but was pleasantly surprised when he agreed to go right away. He said he wanted to help me with baby brother's diaper. Sweetie!

Week Two!

Week two has come and gone and things are still running smoothly at the Davis house! We can't believe how sweet and fun David is and we continue to enjoy every second with him! George's Mom is here which is a huge help. She and Drew have stayed busy playing mostly indoors since it's uncomfortably hot outside. David had his two week check up on Monday and weighed 8 lbs 13 oz, a full pound more than he weighed ten days prior when we were there. Go David! The nurse couldn't believe how much he gained so she reset the scale and tried again. It was correct though; looks like we have another big boy on our hands! We took family portraits yesterday which was only mildly hectic. David's diaper soaked through his outfit and onto mine before even one photo was snapped. What luck! We were able to cover it up for the most part so pressed on with the shoot. It was difficult to get good pictures of both Drew and David but overall we were happy with the results.

"Perfect David"

Thank You CC!!!

CC left yesterday and will be missed terribly! We sure appreciate all that she did for us during the three weeks she was here! Drew was spoiled with her constant love, attention, fun outings, playtime creativity, and toy purchases! David was spoiled with her sweet kisses, cuddles, rocking chair readings, and continuous compliments (She told him he was the sweetest baby ever at least a dozen times!). And George and I were spoiled with her help around the house, her help with Drew, and just the wonderful feeling of knowing she was here. Thanks so much Mom and we can't wait till you visit again, the boys miss you already!

One Week Old!

David's first week has flown by! We've had the best time! He's been so sweet and a really good sleeper. We've continued to have lots of visitors and lots of yummy meals brought by friends as well. Drew is adjusting well and has stayed busy doing lots of fun things with CC. She leaves tomorrow and will be missed terribly!

Love at First Sight!

Our sweet baby boy arrived Monday night at 11:59pm!!! What a wonderful week we have had! We named him David Roy (David after my Father and Roy after George's Father). He was born 8 pounds 4 oz and 20 3/4 inches long - big boy!!! I have tons of pictures I want to post and more details to share so hopefully I can get on the computer later today to do so. In the meantime, I wanted to announce his arrival and share at least a couple of pictures.
