The Davis Family: "Me Two!"

Sweet, hilarious, darling little David is 2!!! He melts our hearts with his hugs, kisses and sweet voice. But he also cracks us up constantly. He has the funniest, most wild little personality! And he's so darn adorable :) Oh, and did I mention he's quick? Seriously, I can't describe how fast he is when he's on the run! We've been talking about his birthday for weeks - Drew has been super excited about it which made it extra fun. We taught David his age so when asked he replies, "me two!" but instead of holding up two fingers on the same hand he jabs both of his pointer fingers forward like they are weapons. A few weeks ago when Me-Ma was visiting, we asked David what he wanted for his birthday. He immediately replied, "cake." It was crystal clear and he was so matter-of-fact about it. Since then we've asked him daily just to hear it again. His answer varied, it was just "cake" for awhile and then became "yummy cake." The last week or so was "Elmo cake." Since all he wanted was cake for his birthday we made sure to celebrate with cake twice! His party was planned for Saturday, the 13th but we had to have a cake for him on his actual birthday, the 10th, as well. Since he wasn't specific on the flavor of cake he preferred, George and I voted and a Goodberry's frozen custard cake was chosen unanimously :) Goodberry's doesn't really decorate their cakes so I printed an Elmo picture, covered it with tape and placed it on the cake. Didn't want my sweet boy to be let down. CC and Day Day landed the evening of David's big day so they were here to sing along with us. Happy birthday David! You are loved so very much!
