Another Wedding Weekend!

We went to another wedding over the weekend. That's three for David is just three months :) My cousin Whitney got married in Virginia and had her reception in a tobacco barn, it was so cool! Drew really enjoyed the wedding ceremony and when it was over looked at me and said so sweetly, "Mama, I want to get married." He thought Whitney was a princess and I have to agree she was stunning! I was a little embarrassed when Drew mistakenly thought the preacher was saying "I Man" instead of "Amen" after the prayers and started repeating "You man, you man, you the man!" Oops! We all had a great time and it was nice to introduce David to some of our family he hasn't met yet. Here's some pictures...

Beautiful bride and her Daddy!

Drew was so exited to dance at the reception and was the first one out there! He LOVED the band! At one point he was jamming to the music at the foot of the stage, it was hysterical. I saw a couple of people taking photos of him dancing and one lady asked me where he got his moves. Well, me of course!

Roadtrip: Final Leg

We got up Sunday morning and like so many out of town fans, went to see Mike the Tiger. Then we went to lunch with Ward before heading to Ocean Springs. We visited with Angel and her family for a couple of hours and then had a delicious meal at The Shed, a BBQ place. After stuffing our bellies, we got on the road to start our long journey home. We were almost to Atlanta when we came to a complete stop on the interstate. Two hours later traffic started moving again and we pulled into a hotel right away. It was 3am and we were exhausted. We got a few hours of sleep and then headed home. Home sweet home :) Thanks to our family and friends for their wonderful hospitality!!!

Drew in all of his LSU gear! He picked out the tiger claw at the gift shop and hasn't put it down since. He even took it to show-and-share at school on Tuesday. I'm sure his teachers were thrilled with that!

Angel, Drew and I at The Shed. Yum yum!!!

Drew fell off of this motorcycle, it fell over on top of him, he got up and said, "I need my helmet" and then jumped right back on!

Drew asked Angel to ride with him. He loves her!

Roadtrip Continued!

We headed to the New Orleans area after Hattiesburg. We stayed with friends on the Northshore and enjoyed catching up with so many folks. I even got to go to lunch with some friends from my job at Capital One. We went to Baton Rouge on Saturday to see our dear friend Ward and all went to the LSU game Saturday night!
At lunch with my old work crew. Gosh I miss those gals! George was working so I took David with me and the sweet friends we were staying with offered to keep Drew so he and their son Brendan could play.
Jessica and her precious belly, Jennifer and her son Brendan, Cristina and her daughter Sophia, Drewby and I.

Drew and Brendan with their little brothers David and Brody. Cute!
Drew was thrilled to pose with an LSU cheerleader. I usually have to beg him to say "cheese" to get a smile but that wasn't needed here! What a flirt!

Drew with Uncle Ward! Ward hooked us up (as he always does!) with great seats. We miss you Ward!
George and I Drew get ready to watch the players, Mike the Tiger and the marching band come down the hill pre-game.
Precious! When Drew saw this sign, he said, "We're here! We're at LSU!"

My friend Elizabeth came to see us from Lafayette. That was so awesome!

Uncle Ward with perfect David! Ward, I made sure to include the "perfect" part just for you :)

Drew had his game face on! He was so into it. He didn't have a nap due to our travels so we didn't stay the entire game but we were proud of how well he and David did.

Our fam at the game! It was quite a different experience than when I used to go as a student but just as special!

Roadtrip!

Last week we piled in the minivan and headed South! It was quite a trip and I still can't believe we did it. George had work to do in MS and LA and agreed to let the boys and I tag along. We made four stops in five days so as you can imagine we spent a lot of time in the car! The boys were great during the long ride and we really took advantage of the minivan, filling every square inch with stuff and watching quite a few movies. Our first stop was the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta. We wanted to break up the long ride so decided to stretch our legs there. It was recommended by many and we sure enjoyed it. We ate at The Varsity, the largest drive-in in America, and filled up on hot dogs and onion rings before hitting the road for Hattiesburg, MS. In Hattiesburg, we enjoyed spending time with my Aunt Kim, Uncle Dreg and cousin Matty! It was great to see them and their beautiful new home. I especially loved hanging out with Matty while Uncle Dreg, Aunt Kim and George worked. It was two years since I last saw Matty, way too long! Here's pictures of the trip thus far...

The boys and I at the Georgia Aquarium.
Drew loved checking out the fish guide and pointing out the fish he recognized.

George was a great tour guide for Drew, pointing out all of the creatures he thought Drew would be impressed by and teaching him lots of new things.

Cousin Matty!!! He's so cute holding little David!

Uncle Dreg loves on David.

Aunt Kim's turn!

Uncle Dreg pulled out a box of Matty's old toys. Drew was in heaven! He picked a few favorites and stayed busy playing with them during our visit.

Toddler Parties

We had a busy weekend around here. Drew went to two birthday parties and I helped host a baby shower for a friend. The birthday party Friday night was at a children's museum and all of the kids had a blast! Drew was so excited to see all of his pals and I had to drag him out of there when it was time to leave. The party Saturday was fun too. There were lots of games and I'm proud to brag that my boy was a big winner! I know you're not supposed to have a "winner" at this age but when there is only one Nemo that hits the bulls eye on the whale (like pin the tail on the donkey) it's pretty clear who won :) I'm just kidding! It was cute to watch Drew play the party games and I continue to be amazed by his busy social calendar! It's much more active than mine, that's for sure.
Drew at the children's museum. Drew and his friend Preston were being wild in the 0-24 month zone. Preston's Mom and I tried to get them out of there but since there weren't any kids that age at the party we decided it wasn't worth the effort.
Sweet David spends some time in the Bumbo chair.

Of course Drew had to have a turn too!

Happy Birthday Day Day!!!

A little birthday song from your Grandsons!!! We love you sooooooo much!!!

Visiting With Kelly!

One of my very best friends, Kelly, visited us for a couple of days. She had to come to the area for work so flew in early to spend some time with us. We had an amazing time! She was so sweet to the boys and had tons of great ideas to keep Drew entertained and to help David when he was fussy. She has two boys of her own so had a few tricks up her sleeve. We stayed up late both nights chatting and laughing. It was a blast! I miss her already! Thanks for everything Kel!
Sweet and pretty Kel gets her baby fix with David.
Leaf crafts.

Kelly brought Drew a pretend shaving kit and they had a blast trying it out. She was such a trooper!

David is all smiles while waiting in the carpool line at preschool. I usually climb in the back of the van and play with him while we wait.

Tons of Halloween Fun!

We had such a fun and busy Halloween this year! George and I went to two Halloween parties, I helped with Drew's Fall party at pre-school and of course we trick or treated. It was all such a blast! Drew was really into Halloween this year (heck, he still is!) which made it extra fun. He was thrilled with his pirate costume and wanted to wear it constantly the last few weeks. I'm actually surprised it made it to the 31st considering all of the wear it got. Drew's school party was so much fun and I really enjoyed planning it. It was great to spend a day with him at school, see him in action and meet his buddies! I didn't take David with me to the party and wouldn't you know it, he rolled over for the first time while I was gone! Unreal! I pouted about it for a few hours but then he rolled over again and I got to see it. He's growing so fast and gets sweeter by the minute!

George and I dressed as Mormans for Halloween. Thanks for the great idea Emily! It was a hit!

Drew at his pre-school Halloween parade and party. The wind blew his hat off so he was holding it on.

Pres-school parade. Still holding on tight to that hat!

Trick or treating at school. He was so excited about the candy that he was licking his lips!

Decorating cookies (mostly just eating candy corn and sprinkles) with some of his classmates. Notice Drew is the only kid still wearing his costume. Drew decided he was going to keep his on when they were instructed to take them off. Nice!

Cristie and George playing flip cup at the Watson's Halloween party. The "saloon girl" costume Cristie made was awesome! As you can imagine, George caught lots of grief for playing a drinking game dressed as a Morman!

Sweet and precious David on Halloween!

This picture cracks me up because Drew's friend Preston looks like he's really fighting a fire! It was so hot that the poor kid's face was really red and he was pouring sweat.

My little pirate in action!

Enjoying some of the treats after the kids came back.

The most precious little pirate and Nemo after a busy and tiring night!

Here's a video of Drew at school. What a job those teachers have! It was such a Drew move to throw himself on the ground!
